    Event Description:
    Women have played crucial roles in the evolution of the workforce, including at NASA. You may have heard of the women from the movie “Hidden Figures,” but in this panel, you’ll hear from five different trailblazing women and their experiences, challenges and successes working in the U.S. Space Program.

    Dr. Estella Hernandez Gillette, former NASA clerk-stenographer, will moderate this panel. The panel will feature unique stories from Anna K. Fisher, the first mother to fly in space; Beth Fisher, former NASA engineer; Vanessa Wyche, deputy director at Johnson Space Center; Denise Navarro, president and CEO of Logical Innovations, Inc.; and Evelyn R. Miralles, NASA senior engineer and UHCL distinguished alumna.
